Quick Update

Hello everyone!
Holy moly! Lots of stuff has happened this past week, and I won't be able to publish an article as I've been doing today. First of all I wanted to apologise for that, but I've got some good news to tell:

Writing a column for a webpage
Wow! I never thought I would ever reach this high. Started this as a hobby to project my ideas and thoughts about the things I love and ended up talking only about D&D (which is my biggest hobby right now, so it's not a big surprise). I've been contacted to write a column for a webpage for some people that saw talent in how I wrote and expressed myself. I'm not going to name them yet as I still don't have a starting date, but let's hope everything keeps on the way it's going. Hopefully I may write my next article in their webpage.

Studying, studying and studying
Being at college it's not that easy to find free time to do what I like, and I also need some extra time to relax playing videogames or reading. That has been consuming almost all my time, leaving little to no time for writing. Programming is something I'm also passionate about, so that makes me want to learn more than I maybe need for the exams. Let's hope everything goes ok so I don't have to study for that exam again in the future.

I'm writing a short adventure
After I finished the Heist article, I wanted to give you guys an example on how I would prepare a heist for my players. That's why I decided to write a short adventure that I'll post soon enough. It won't be long, and I plan on it being more like props I give you to design the adventure than a detailed one. My intention is for the DM to fill in the blanks for his/her players, while also taking into account that a heist is something that can go in SO MANY different ways it's impossible for me to plan everything your players might choose to do.
I've also taken some time to watch more movies of that kind to gain some inspiration when writing this, which has also taken some of my time.

Well... that's all folks. It's been a very different week for me, and I'm glad it is. I'll surely write the adventure before next week's time to post arrives, and who knows? Maybe I'll end up posting two articles in one week for not having anything written for this one.

DM’s toolbox

As a DM, you can approach how you create your universe by using different methods. You take some time (or not) before each of your sessions and prepare something for the players to enjoy. However, even inspired, it may take you quite a lot of time to create the perfect dungeon, city, NPC, a name, or some weird area. For this, and much more, here I’ll list you my intensive list of resources to get stuff from quickly, so you don’t have to carry all the heavy weight from worldbuilding on your shoulders. Encounter building: Kobold’s fight club You need to create some balanced encounters for your players on a whim, or for your next dungeon or session, but don’t want to do math using the CR. Just tell the webpage how many party members there are, which level they are in and start adding monsters to see how difficult the encounter will be for your players, plus the amount of xp they will earn for completing it. Take this with a grain of salt though, as CR isn’t often the best way...

Easily create NPCs or enemies

The group of adventurers arrive to your recently crafted city , and go to the local tavern in search of rumors about the Lich they are looking for. You didn't really expect  your players to go there as soon as they got to the city and now want to create some random (possibly memorable) patrons that frequent the place without telling your players you didn't have time to create this part of the city.
